The divisions of the circle
The eighths — 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, 315 and 360 days — and the thirds — 120 and 240 days — are the dates Gann watched most; every 30 days and his number 144 can be added. The quarters, 90, 180, 270 and 360 days, are drawn strongest, and the 360-day anniversary above all.
Days are counted on the calendar, as Gann counted them. A date that falls on a weekend or holiday is shown on the next trading bar, and dates beyond the last candle are projected forward so upcoming ones are visible.
Using the cycles
- 1Open Overlays → Time → Gann Time Cycles and choose the divisions and how many years (1–3).
- 2Click a major high or low, or press ⚡ to count from the last confirmed swing; ◀ steps back to older swings.
- 3The panel lists the next dates with their weekday. Cycles from several different highs and lows landing close together make a stronger date.

Calendar days, as Gann counted. Weekends and holidays are counted in the total; the line is shown on the next trading bar.
Which dates are strongest?
The 360-day anniversary, then 180 days, then the 90 and 270-day quarters and the 120 and 240-day thirds.
